Pakhala Divas Date 2024 Dates. The initiative started on 2015 by odias to celebrate their traditional food worldwide. Over 500 people were treated to a delicious platter of ‘pakhala’ to celebrate the pakhala divas at an event organised by the tourism department at pantha nivas here on monday.

Key rituals span from dhanteras on october 29, including prayers to goddess laxmi and offering. In 2024, odia people all over the world will celebrate pakhala divas (pakhal dibasa) on 20th march (wednesday).
